Day 1

Morning Check-in dorm

9-12 Challenge series

Afternoon- evening Flying fox, climb down a wall with rope

Evening Team bonding games

Briefing, supper

Lunch, dinner : iSS catered food, my sucky food caterer in hostel

Today is not bad overall.

Show off a bit during games time because was not really impressive during challenge series. Nothing much today and was not really tiring. Oh yeah, food ration for SEA Expedition was given out. This is the list:

- 2 apples

- 1 really small packet of raisins

- 1 Hacks Vit C candy

- 1 Quaker S’mores chewy bar

- 1 20g Snickers bar

Miss her today and 4 more days to go T_T

Oh yes, jus realized I am the second i/c for SEA Expedition tomorrow, means I got to show off even more..Hahahaha…

Just took a bath with the nice smell of Johnson’s Body Soap & Pantene Shampoo, blended with Fa deodorant & Dove spray deodorant.

Unfortunately, they were all spoiled by the stupid Autan smell. Okay, I shall sleep now, it is about 1215am already. Must rest well for tomorrow.

Day 2

Okay, unfortunately I didn’t have time to write yesterday. So I’ll just write what I can remember now.

We reached the Changi Sea Sports Club at about 9 and my job began. We then prepared the kayaks and everything by 11 and set off after that. Got this quite stupid and weak ip1 partner for my kayak. So I have to work doubly hard to pedal the boat. And since I am the leader, I have to be the first boat as I was the one who controlled the direction to go, how fast, and when to rest. It was quite fun though, because I did enjoy kayaking although my arms were stretched to the limit. Ate lunch at 2 in P.Ubin, and set off again to reach the destination at about 6 pm. Then, I had to make sure everyone cooked their own food, set up their camps, and had a good rest. Food was cooked by 9 and we washed up till about 10.

One stupid thing that happened during this expedition: my waterproof bag was not working properly!!! All my change of clothes, medication, towel, notebook, everything else are wet. That is why this book is so wet now, hahaha.. So, I had to sleep with my wet clothes on. But, luckily, the wipes and insect repellent helped me a lot to save the day. Or else, I won’t be much of a difference compared to a poo, hahaha.. Hmph, have to really thank my girlfriend for helping me get all these useful materials, Thanks Tasya =)

I love it when you care so much about me. And I really miss you, but I can’t do anything much to contact you now. Promise I will put aside my tiredness and accompany you once I get back. The honey moon period is going to end really soon.

Day 3

So now, we just finished our last quarter of kayaking journey. Washed up and ready for lunch before we set on our Land Expedition. And I am happy with my decent job as the leader. And they liked me so much that I am the i/c again today (actually my duty is overdued by a bit, haha) although I was only supposed to be the i/c for day 2.

YAY!!!! Finished the East Zone of our Land Expedition. Went through Pasir Ris, Changi, Tanah Merah, etc. Walked past the route in Downtown East today, and could still remember the shock and excitement that I felt in front of the Cheers when she said “Jealous is it??” Hahahahaha….

We finished as one of the last though, lousy..

Learnt that a good leader means he is a good listener as well.

Day 4

Yoohoo!! Although our group agreed that Land Expedition sucks, we managed to finish the day as the first group to arrive at 545 (supposed to be by 7). When we were at South Zone, we didn’t do very well in Bugis & Chinatown, ending up as the last group to get the folder when we reached the West Zone, in Boon Lay. Hahahaha, we were super depressed and finally we rushed through that zone by hitching rides (in total 4 rides). We then finished this zone and moved on to North Zone, ultimate last. The Woodlands job was the toughest according to the teachers, but we managed to finish way above their expectations and came back to school in bus 961.

And I was back to school again, and I miss her again. So near yet so far, no phone, could not walk to her hostel. On the way to NJC, I was even thinking of asking my group to stop by Nanyang for a while before we got to school. But I must keep my mind straight, hahaha. Only one day left. So decided not to do funny stuffs and got to school. Realized that Cindy, one of my groupmate was a really poor direction leader, but she always insisted that she was right. Luckily, we ended up as the first =)

Dinner Time!! Hungry!!!

Day 5

Too lazy to write, hahaha.. Basically woke up at 330 am and marched to SIM. Came back and ran 10 rounds on the track. Finally YLTC came to an end.

Lesson learnt during the camp:

- A leader must be a good example for the members in terms of discipline, integrity, ability to overcome fear, determination, and perseverance to reach our goal.

- I learnt that team work and coordination are important to keep ourselves on track. Taking of care of each other is really important to maintain the team spirit and respect from others.

- It is easy to look forward and try to change the future. But, it is not possible to look backward and change the past. So we must grab every opportunity available and improve on our skills. Moreover, we must enjoy our life in NJC as it is the best years of Singapore’s education system.

- Good leaders are good followers

- Leaders must be willing to take up challenges

- Leaders do not have ‘give up’ in their dictionary

And I was thinking too much today, so might as well put everything down here, so I can stop thinking about it

It hurts me when I miss her every single day, and yet, I don’t see that at all in her.

It hurts me when most of the time, I have to know her feelings through her blogs and not directly.

It hurts me that most of the time I am the one making her happy, and not the other way round.

It hurts me that I love her more than how she loves me.

It hurts me that every time I talk to her, I can’t get her off my mind for a second.

It hurts me that just by seeing her on my wallpaper once I switched on my phone, I could easily smile and be happy.

It hurts me when every time I see her, I know for myself that it is impossible for me to stop loving her.

It hurts….
