My Version of 2

On one fine day, there lives a prince in the Seven Fortress of Scholars. This prince goes to an institution with dancing courses to broaden his knowledge of this world and pursue his passion for dance. Two years of dancing there, and he could not find anyone who he would like to be his real partner. But, that was okay, because he did not intend to find one anyway. So he lived peacefully and danced every other day.

Then, two years passed, and there came a princess. Her beauty caught his eyes immediately when his friend pointed out to him that she got the potential in dancing. Unconsciously, he smiled and nodded his head, in agreement that she got potential: both, in dancing and something else. Although he knew there was this princess that was accompanying his friend when they were new to the institution, he had not bothered to notice her because he was too engrossed in his world of anti-females and loneliness.

Days passed by, and prince got to know the princess soon. The prince then tried to catch princess’ attention by spending time with her during dance. He even asked his friend to arrange for her to become his partner one day. At first, he did all these, because he liked her. However, there is always limit to certain things, so the prince chose to restrict his feelings to a certain extent that only allowed him to be close friend with her.

Princess is someone who has a good attitude towards dance and has a ‘down to earth’ character. She likes to talk about cute, adorable guys and worship them in certain ways. This was what made the prince able to restrict his feelings. The way princess talks made him think that she is the type that does not go for closer relationship than friends. Thus, the prince just took her as a friend and just went along with her talks.

However, days passed by, and he realized that his ears were starting to burn whenever she talked of such things, even much worse when the prince caught her talking about her ex, or staring at him. And there was a time, where prince had to organize an event with the princess for the dancers. And prince was really growing to like her even more. This, to him, is something that he knew he needed to loosen up when he had a break for one month. Because he knows he does not want a one sided feeling to happen, and that she only took him as a friend. So, rather than him breaking the close relationship, he would rather remain dormant. Rather than him being hurt again, he would rather clear things up before it grew worse.

So six months passed, and he managed to hold much of feelings, except the last few days that he spent with her before the break. Then, only on the first day of break, prince had broken his words; he had searched for her identities beyond the real world instead of forgetting her. And the worst part is, he found her diary. With much curiosity, the prince opened the first page of her diary. To his great astonishment, the entries were about her missing someone and reluctance to clear the letters a person had sent to her. The prince was really excited to find out who he was. And he was happy that princess actually does have this kind of feeling. So he decided to look at the entries all the way to the first time the princess arrived in the institution. However, he could not find any sign that really said it was him. And at the same time, he grew confused and anxious; wondering what would happen if he was the one who had caused the princess to fall. He did not mean to do that. Although he liked her beyond that, he did not expect her to fall for a person like him, knowing that she likes to talk about cute guys.

Finally, the break ended, and he was convinced that it was him when she wrote more and more entries. He grew panicked. He had kept his feelings intact, and now he was growing weaker for not being able to fight against his will.

Even though he knew the princess liked him, he then decided not to go for her. He thought the princess was still childish and that she merely needed someone to hang to after her heart was broken early in the year. Judging from the entries she wrote about the two other princes and the prince himself, he guessed that he was well below them in terms of her love and attractiveness to the princes. So, he backed down. And he wanted to do so when the princess said to him that she would be waiting for her old prince in a ball. It just simply meant that she did not want him to bother her. Although he decided not to go for her, it still kind of hurts. And it was clearly a sign for him to stay out of her during the ball. So he did just that for a performance with her, talking less to her and ignoring her dancing, because he knew, doing that will only made it harder for him to let go off the night. He was even thinking of leaving the ball right after the performance, because he could not afford to see the queen of his heart dancing with the prince she used to like.

But then, he did not leave because he had got other friends that could cheer him up and lighten up the night. He then danced with other friends to accompany them. And these friends, unfortunately, asked him to dance with the princess. He almost burst into tears because he knew he wanted to do that and yet, at the same time, he could not allow himself to dance with the princess; because she was waiting for other prince. It was really a dilemma before he decided to go with his feelings and ignore what she thought. Haha, it was really a selfish thought. But he would never regret that because that was the only thing he wanted the most that night.
So, he danced with her. And with his wit, he let the princess decide what she wanted to do with him. Either as a friend, or more than that. So, the slow dance moved on, and the princess decided to close the gap. Then, the princess did something else after that, and he became clear of his direction. To really love her.

Since then, prince has loved her with every single thing he has and is not bothered to restrict anything else. It was ironic though, because she could see what the prince could not see for himself.

The week after, he confessed and she accepted..

Together, they cherish their time spent together..

And as long as the princess is happy, prince’s life is worth living for..
